Innovative Learning Academy adopts the Reggio Emillia approach to education which focuses on child centric learning using projects and handson experiences. This approach involves the environment as the third teacher to encourage exploration and collaboration and inspire creativity. The Reggio Emilia approach mandates documentation of children’s work and experience which helps in assessing learning and fostering reflection.
Pre-School: Playgroup to Kindergarten
A nurturing foundation for your child’s earliest learning journey. Using the Reggio Emilia approach, our pre-school program centres on child-led exploration, hands-on experiences, and creativity. Children engage in art workshops, cooking and nutrition activities, environmental projects, and outdoor play — building curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
Prep Level
Prep helps children transition smoothly into formal schooling by strengthening early reading, writing, counting, communication, and classroom readiness.
Elementary/Primary section: Grade 1 to 3
Our primary program delivers a comprehensive, national-standards-aligned curriculum enriched with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) activities, Oxford University Press materials, and interdisciplinary project-based learning. Students develop critical thinking and real-world problem-solving skills through science labs, role-playing simulations, outdoor field trips, and collaborative projects.
Individualized Program Planning (IPP)
For students who benefit from personalised academic support, our IPP stream provides individually crafted learning plans, adapted teaching strategies, and close collaboration between educators and families to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
Assessment Style
We follow continuous assessment in the early and primary years, focusing on progress, understanding, participation, and skill development rather than high-pressure exams. This aligns well with the school’s hands-on and child-centered model.
